Heavy Duty Silt Fence Installation - Ideal for critical & highly erodible sites

Aussie Environmental’s Heavy Duty Silt Fences are constructed for critical or highly erodible sites. It is constructed using a UV stabilised silt fence fabric that is strengthened with star pickets and fencing wire. This ensures a stronger and longer lasting silt fence that needs less maintenance.

Many customers presume that it must be stressful, complicated and expensive to get silt fence installed on their business premises, however with help from the right environmental expert, arranging silt fence installation in Queensland can be an entirely straightforward and an affordable process.

Standard Silt Fence Installation

Aussie Environmental can install a number of different types of silt fencing. Our cheapest and most requested is our standard silt fencing. We provide fast, efficient and quality installation. Our standard silt fences are constructed using a UV stabilised polypropylene sediment fence material, secured to hardwood timber stakes with a pneumatic stapler.



We use a high-tech trenchless system when installing silt fences in Queensland, where no trenching or back filling is required. Silt Fences can be used in conjunction with other forms of erosion control methods like coir logs, erosion control blankets (jute mat /coir blanket), and diversion drains with sediment or retention basins. We service civil, council & private landowners and are members of the International Erosion Control Association (IECA).

Heavy Duty/Safety Barrier Combination - Ideal for increased safety of critical sites

Aussie Environmental can supply and install Heavy Duty Silt Fence with Safety Barrier. This combination is ideally suited for highly erodible sites and for exclusion zones or high traffic areas where safety is a priority. Our silt fence installers recommend using Heavy Duty Silt Fence and Hi-Vis Safety Barrier Mesh secured to star pickets, with Safety Caps covering the star pickets. Eco-Silt Fence Installation

Aussie Environmental’s Eco-Silt Fence is a natural biodegradable Jute Geotextile. Ideal for bushland, riparian zones and floodplain areas where silt fence is required for installation and can be left to biodegrade. Eco-Silt Fence can be installed with timber pegs or strengthened with star pickets and fencing wire. This ensures a stronger and longer lasting form of silt fence that needs less maintenance.

How deep do I need to trench the silt fence into the ground?

Your trench needs to be dug to approximately 200mm deep prior to silt fence installation.
